Pungent lemon and grapefruit zest, persimmon, and a salinity that begins already in the nose, offer contrast to this wine’s honeyed, nut oil, and ripe peach richness. Polished and refined, with an oily slick and pungent spice that point toward botrytis, this finishes with impressive clarity a positively sizzling counterpoint of pepper and shimmering, crystalline minerality (metaphorically, at least!), with citrus and ripe peach. For all of its richness and pungency, it displays graceful elegance and levity, tinged with faint warmth.
100% Gruner Veltliner
Pale, almost colorless in the glass, this wine smells of golden apples and wet stones. In the mouth the wine has a moderate sweetness, with flavors of lemon and apple, and a hint of something woody, like a wet deck in the rain. A finish of grapes.
50% Pinot Gris, 45% Welsh Riesling, 5% Muscat Ottonel
Intense aromas of roses, rose oil and water, refreshing citrus aromas, strawberries and cherry character, light muscat, very subtle tannins give the wine character.
Attractive bouquet of grapefruit zest, over white blossom and fine herb spice. The palate displays juicy characters of fresh tropical fruit supported by elegant balance and a lingering aftertaste of ripe yellow peach.
