Matured predominantly in European and American sherry seasoned oak casks, our iconic 12 Year Old single malt whisky is spicy and well-rounded, packed with the flavours of sun-kissed Seville oranges and rich fruitcake spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves; you’ll find molten heather honey in this whisky’s waves of heathery peat smoke. Why not try it with a handful of wasabi peas on the side or alongside a sizzling, pan-fried rib-eye steak or with smoked salmon and sour cream.

One of our all-time favourites, this has to be one of the most consistently excellent malt whiskies of the past 10 years. Showered with awards and praise from all quarters, it was named as 'Best Spirit in the World' by F Paul Pacult of the Spirit Journal in 2005. Unfailingly excellent, especially after a good meal. Pacult wrote: 'After 25 years' experience, it fits my profile of what makes a perfect whisky, which is to say it's totally in harmony, there are no rough edges and everything is melded together brilliantly.'

Released for Feis Ile 2014 and describing itself as "a cryptic concoction", this is Jura playing with wood to an almost silly level. After its initial maturation in American oak ex-bourbon casks, the whisky was then moved to Jupilles, Les Bertanges, Limousin, Tronçais, Allier and Vosges oak casks, before being married in sherry butts, for a total of seven different cask finishes.

A rye whiskey bottled under the reinvigorated James E Pepper label. James's grandfather has a claim to having opened the first Kentucky Distillery in 1776, but the James Pepper brand really hit its height in the early part of the 20th century, although it had disappeared by the latter parts. It's now back with this bourbon-esque, fruity rye whiskey.

Manzanilla is much like Fino sherry, which is produced by the sea where the conditions are even more suitable for the growing of flor. Though the maturation is the same as for the Kavalan Fino, the texture is lighter and more delicate with a touch of saltiness together with mineral flavours, which are all the consequences of a stable and thick layer of flor, sea breezes and brine.$2,850.00

What is Peated Bourbon? It’s bourbon whiskey that conforms to the American requirements for bourbon but is made with malted barley that has been exposed to peat smoke, a practice more common in Scotch whiskies—the malt used for the peated bourbon was even grown and kilned in Scotland. So it’s a hybrid whiskey of the two traditions, flavorful and robust from having aged in a new barrel, with an added light smoky finish reminiscent of single-malt. If scotch and bourbon had a baby, this is what it would taste like. As far as we can tell, this was the world’s first ever peated bourbon and will appeal to the adventurous whiskey traveler who has tried everything.

This mash is then double pot distilled for a rich and flavorful white spirit. After aging in a variety of new charred oak barrels for anywhere between 4 and 6 years, Their bourbon is carefully blended to ensure quality and complexity. With prominent notes of caramel and vanilla, as well as undertones of dark berries, this bottle is cited frequently in lists of best craft bourbons.

This has been Lagavulin’s principal expression for more than 30 years. Iodine, rich peat, and caramel on the early nose, with sherry, sea salt, and charcuterie. During the 1970s and 1980s, Michter’s Original Sour Mash Whiskey was the distillery’s single most popular product. While the “Sour Mash” moniker originated from the whiskey production process of the same name – whereby some previously fermented mash is used as the starter for the new mash to be fermented, much like making sourdough bread – Michter’s Original Sour Mash earned distinction for its unique taste. With its unique grain selection, it cannot be categorized as a rye or a bourbon. After disappearing from the market in 1989, Michter’s Original Sour Mash Whiskey made a triumphant return in 2012 with its introduction into the US1 line. Staying true to the profile and palate of its predecessor, Michter’s US1 Sour Mash has quickly become a favorite of whiskey enthusiasts.

Using the two Coffey stills at the Miyagikyo distillery, which were imported from Scotland to Japan in 1963, Nikka have produced a number of single cask single grain whiskies from time to time over the years. This, however, is their larger release of wonderfully exotic single grain whisky.
Sweet, with subtle, crisp, nutty oak, then comes fudge, ripe banana, and peach. The overall effect is like eating vanilla ice cream with toffee fudge and hazelnut sprinkles. The structure is thick and physical, the palate sweet and quite fat, with light hints of raspberry, fruit salad. A jag of acidity freshens the delivery on the finish.

The silly name of this delicious, hard-to-put-down blended Scotch supposedly is derived from the days “when farmers hid their home-made whisky from the nosey excise officers in barrels marked ‘Sheep Dip.'” Made with a blend of 16 single malts from the four major whisky regions, this has an intense apple aroma and flavor, overlaid with a faint curl of smoke. The earthy smokiness grows on the finish, with intriguing dry and savory notes, like baker's chocolate and brine. Pair this with crumbly aged cheeses.
